Dalton, GA – The Dalton Academy is thrilled to announce the addition of Golf to its athletic program, set to officially launch in the 2025-26 school year. This exciting expansion provides students with a new opportunity to develop skills in one of the fastest-growing high school sports while representing TDA with pride and excellence.
Leading the charge as the first-ever Girls Golf Coach at The Dalton Academy is Coach Deb Harrington. Coach Harrington brings a wealth of experience and passion to the program, having played golf recreationally for over 40 years and working in the golf industry for 15 years, specializing in golf course maintenance and food and beverage services.
Coach Harrington joins TDA after an impressive tenure at DJHS/HCMS, where she spent two seasons as Head Golf Coach. Under her leadership, the program flourished, growing to 24 players and securing a region championship. Her dedication to fostering a love for the game and developing student-athletes will be instrumental in building a strong foundation for TDA’s golf program.
"I am beyond excited to bring golf to The Dalton Academy and help introduce students to this incredible sport," said Coach Harrington. "Golf teaches patience, discipline, and perseverance—skills that extend beyond the course. I can’t wait to hit the ground running and build a program that thrives for years to come!"
TDA looks forward to fielding competitive golf teams and providing student-athletes with new pathways for growth and success. More details on tryouts and program development will be shared in the coming months.
